Privacy Policy
psychometrictest.ai · operated by Catalog Educational Services Pvt. Ltd. (CareerGuide.com) · Effective 23 August 2026
The short version: we collect only what the assessments need, store it securely in India, never sell it, and never show your child a score they can be reduced to. You can ask for your data — or its deletion — anytime at
customercare@careerguide.com.
1. What we collect
- Assessment inputs: the student's first name, class, school (optional), and their answers to assessment questions.
- Account data: your email address when you create an account or sign in with Google (via Firebase Authentication). We never see or store your password.
- Payment data: payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive a confirmation of payment — never your card or bank details.
- Usage data: anonymised analytics (Google Analytics with IP anonymisation) to understand how pages are used.
2. What we use it for
- Generating your child's assessment reports and certificates.
- Saving results to your account so you can retake tests yearly and see growth.
- Support, when you contact us.
- Improving the assessments — always on aggregated, de-identified data.
We do not sell personal data. To anyone. For any purpose. We do not use your child's data for advertising.
3. Children's data
- For younger students (Classes 3–5), accounts are held by a parent or guardian, and results are written for and delivered to the parent.
- Assessments are taken with parental or institutional (school/teacher) consent.
- Reports never display a rank, an IQ number, or comparisons with named children.
4. Where your data lives
Assessment data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure in the asia-south1 (Mumbai, India) region, in access-controlled databases. The service accounts that operate the platform run with least-privilege access.
5. Who we share it with
- Service providers that run the platform: Google Cloud / Firebase (hosting, authentication, storage), Razorpay (payments), Google Analytics (anonymised usage). Each receives only what its function requires.
- People you choose: reports are shared only when you share them — with a counsellor, school or teacher.
- Institutions: if your child takes an assessment through a school, coaching center or teacher's code, that institution sees the reports for students it enrolled, as part of providing you the service.
6. Your rights (DPDP)
In line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can ask us to:
- show you the personal data we hold about you or your child;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- or raise a grievance about how it's handled.
Write to customercare@careerguide.com — we respond to verified requests within 30 days.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for sign-in sessions and Google Analytics cookies (with IP anonymisation) for usage statistics. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
8. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and its effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
